About Cyndi Zaweski

Who is behind StoryCraft, and what qualifications does Cyndi Zaweski have as a storyteller, strategist, and SEO expert?

1

StoryCraft was founded by Cyndi Zaweski, an award-winning journalist, brand narrative strategist, and SEO specialist. She holds a degree in broadcast journalism and, before launching StoryCraft, worked as a news anchor, news producer, multimedia journalist, business reporter, and magazine editor—building a career around finding meaningful stories, asking clarifying questions, and communicating complex ideas clearly.

Her background in journalism shapes the way she approaches storytelling and strategy: with structure, curiosity, emotion, and a deep understanding of nuance. In addition to her editorial and reporting experience, Cyndi holds a certification in SEO from Columbia University, as well as a certification in AI Search Optimization. StoryCraft brings those disciplines together to help experts build brands that are clear, memorable, and discoverable without relying entirely on constant posting or social media.

Why Did Cyndi Start A Business?

2

Cyndi started StoryCraft because people she cared about asked. She remembers March 12, 2020 — the day Broadway shut down, and a small bug called COVID suddenly changed everything. At the time, she was the editor of a lifestyle magazine in New York, working with branded editorial clients who no longer knew how they were going to reach their customers.

People weren’t walking through storefronts anymore. Businesses that had relied on in-person connection had to figure out how to show up online. Clients asked Cyndi to help them tell their stories through newsletters, social media, and blogs. What began as helping people navigate a hard moment turned into the business she still runs today.

What is Cyndi Zaweski’s approach and what makes it different?

3

Cyndi’s approach is rooted in intentional, story-driven communication rather than constant content production. Instead of relying on social media volume or performance-driven strategies, she focuses on helping experts create clear, meaningful messaging and long-term content that continues working over time. Her work combines the art of storytelling with the science of SEO, so ideas are not only memorable, but also discoverable—without needing to post constantly or depend entirely on social platforms.

This approach is shaped by her own experience. Cyndi grew a social media audience of over 80,000 followers, then chose to move away from that model in favor of a more sustainable strategy. Today, she runs a six-figure business working approximately 30 hours a week, with time dedicated to her garden, yoga, freelance journalism, and volunteer work as a grant writer supporting efforts to reduce toxic gardening practices that impact Long Island waterways and public health.

Why doesn’t Cyndi Rely On social media?

4

Cyndi doesn’t rely on social media as her primary strategy because she believes businesses and sharing meaningful messages should not depend on constant posting or platform algorithms. While she has built a social media audience of over 80,000 followers, she chose to step away from that model in favor of a more sustainable approach. Cyndi isn’t anti social she is pro finding a strategy that works for you.

Her work focuses on creating story-driven content that is both memorable and discoverable through channels like search, newsletters, and long-form content—so her business is not dependent on being visible every day. The goal is to build a body of work that lasts, rather than keep up with the pressure to produce content constantly.

Who is narrative strategy for?

5

Narrative strategy is for experts, authors, founders, and business owners who have valuable ideas but feel like their message is unclear, inconsistent, or not fully representing the depth of their work.

It’s especially useful if your content feels disconnected, your brand does not reflect how you actually think, or your work is not converting the way it should. Many people come to narrative strategy when they know they have something important to say, but are struggling to express it clearly and consistently across their brand.

About StoryCraft’s Storytelling Course

What is the Storytelling course?

1

The storytelling course teaches you how to write clear, engaging stories for social media posts and newsletters using five repeatable storytelling frameworks. You’ll learn how to choose the right story for your message, structure it so your point is clear, and write in a way that sounds like you.

The course also includes storytelling for sales, so you can use story to talk about your offers more naturally and make your work easier to understand and buy. Along with the frameworks, you’ll get examples, prompts, and short tutorials you can apply right away.

Who is this course for?

2

This course is for experts, business owners, authors, and podcasters who have valuable ideas but struggle to express them clearly in writing. It’s especially useful if your thoughts feel sharp in your head but fall apart on the page, your stories feel flat or overcomplicated, or you’re tired of guessing what to say each time you sit down to write.

It’s designed for people who want a repeatable way to turn their ideas into clear, engaging stories for social media posts and newsletters.

What makes this course different from other Storytelling or content programs?

3

This course is not just about giving you hooks, templates, or frameworks to fill in. It teaches you how to find the right message, choose the right story to express it, and structure your writing so people understand, remember, and respond to what you’re saying.

You’ll learn five repeatable storytelling frameworks for social media posts and newsletters, but the bigger goal is becoming more articulate in your own voice. The course also includes storytelling for sales, so you can talk about your offers in a way that feels natural instead of stiff, vague, or overly polished.

Most of all, it helps you stop treating content like something you have to constantly churn out. You learn how to create stronger stories that make people remember you—so you can post less, with more impact.

How is the Storytelling course structured?

4

The course is built around five repeatable storytelling frameworks you can use to write social media posts and newsletters. Each framework shows you how to choose the right message, find a relevant story, and structure it so your point is clear and easy to follow.

The lessons are short and designed for immediate application, so you’re not stuck in theory. Most students write and share their first story within the first hour. The full course can be completed in three hours, but the frameworks are meant to be used again and again as you continue writing.

How long Does The course Take?

5

The full course takes around three hours to complete, but it’s designed for immediate use—not long periods of studying. Most people write and share their first story within the first hour. The frameworks are meant to be reused, so instead of learning something once and moving on, you’ll have a system you can come back to every time you sit down to write.
